now i know our dear friend brandon bruce is going to flip when we reads this, but just here us out.

we went out to the absolute best hole in the wall burger joint the other night! it was sooooo so good! we hope to frequent this place like crazy while we’re here. i don’t know what they do, but it’s perfect. a perfect burger & fries. now while we still love in & out (it’s tops as far as fast food goes), we just can’t help but love this hole in the wall with an ocean front view. move over in & out here comes tk burger.

we took roxy to the dog beach the other day on one of our biking adventures. mel has a basket on the front of her cruiser the perfect size for little rox. she had a pretty good time riding in the basket, until she jumped out when we got down to the strip! it was a little frightening, but she was ok. we took a walk along dog beach—there were so many pups! they were all just running around playing with each other, fetching toys out of the ocean, & sniffing one another’s butts. then…from across the beach justin saw someone he knew. this is not just a friend, this is an icon, a idol, a star rapper. who was this amazing person?! vanilla freakin’ ice! can you believe it?! it was like a slow motion movie as he passed us walking roxy down the beach. i wanted to get his autograph but I thought he might be offended if i called him vanilla ice. so I let him walk his two dogs and enjoy his day. it’s crazy out here. you never know who you’re gonna see!

we are loving this area. we still don’t know where we’ll land, but living by the beach is sounding more & more appealing.

ten days

so we’ve been here ten days already & what a ten days it’s been. we have a lot to look forward to, but before we look there let’s look back at the top 10 greatest moments of our move.

matt & mel are incredible! we love staying with them--we are so grateful! mel is super hospitable & matt can make anyone feel welcome & completely comfortable—you guys are the coolest.

a day in the life: we wake up to a view of the ocean, work on job stuff, life stuff (changing addresses, getting our licenses…) search goodwill & salvo for ebay items, in the late afternoon we take long bike rides along the strip by the ocean, and we enjoy dinners with the barlows at home or at local eateries. it’s like a dream! but it’s not we actually live here! and if we get jobs we can stay!

our second year together has been eventful to say the least. we've made a major life change deciding to move here & start from scratch, but we are loving it! what a way to begin year tres. jus treated me to an incredible getaway in la for our anniversary (16). it was incredible. we stayed at THE STANDARD, ate great food & toured downtown. it was unreal! i abosolutely loved it! if you are ever visiting la or even if you live around here you have got to try out THE STANDARD! the whole day was perfect in every way.

we made it! i can't believe we're here. our trip was unreal we had an amazing time & now we are bunking up with matt & mel barlow for a little while. i am going to post more about our trip soon. i just have to wait to get pix & stuff. jus has an interview today with a pastor from yorba linda to do worship part time. we'll see how that goes. it is absolutely gorgeous here! we're excited to be in our new home! look for an update about our trip!

we're back from vaca

what up hotties. we are back & tanner than ever. don't be jealous yet, justin will un-tan/re-whiten within a day or two. we had a great time with the entire family (lemasters + johnsons) at ocean isle beach in north carolina. the week was made up of eating + jetskiing + surfing + sunning + kyaking + eating snacks from the snack shack (thank you marta for supplying the goods) + swimming + bodysurfing + texas hold 'em + down the river up the river (that's how we play it, don't hate) + eating some more. it was great! we're so glad we had this time with our families it was a wonderful reunion/bonvonage. we'll post more pix later. we're on our way to cali now! pullin' out wednesday! see ya on the flip side.
