we have an apartment! and jes has a job! and we got our refrigerator last thursday! and we bought a car! and--well i guess that's it. that's the update.
just kidding you guys! we moved into our apartment last weekend--it is WONDERFUL! i'll post pics once we're finished setting up, but for now i will descibe it. it's an old 1930's hotel turned into apartments. you go up the stairs to a huge glass door & step into a hallway with light wood floors, a huge wooden staircase, dark wood finished crown moulding & baseboards (jes' dream already). we're apartment 18 second (top) floor, back corner. our apartment is a huge one bedroom with the same light wood floors & dark wood trim. big bath, big kitchen & four big closets & high ceilings to boot! it's absolutely perfect! here's a pic of the door into our place...there are more to come!
jes began work about 3 weeks ago for a popular surf/skate store called
pacsun. she works about 45 minutes away in anaheim at the corporate office as a production artist. it's temp work for right now, but we're hoping it becomes something more. she is loving it! she's been designing pieces for the christmas season for both pacsun &
d.e.m.o. (their other store). it's been a great experience so far & she couldn't have asked for anything better! being in a company like this, in a position like this within the first couple months is a dream!
we are sad to say that we are soon going to put the bonnie to rest (our pontiac). she has been giving us a bit of trouble & guzzles tons of gas so we're giving her up for something older, but in a lot better shape. it's a '86 toyota camry in MINT & i really mean MINT condition. it was owned by the sweetest old swiss couple & they took great care of it. we pick it up on the 26th so i'll post pix then.
things are falling into place! jus was offered a job today at a net2auction (another ebay store). he's excited because he not only still works at an ebay store & it's closer, but he also WORKS WITH HIS BEST FRIEND!! yep josh works there too! it's going to be great!
we're all doing great & roxy loves her new home. we're close to everything in pasadena--we're around the corner to paseo colorado (outdoor mall), josh & kari are about half a mile, and old town pasadena (more shops & restaurants) is just a short walk away. it's really is a dream come true!
we'll post pictures soon of everything we've talked about so you can see it for yourself. we love you!
