a funny thing happened on the way to radio shack

justin & i were going to radio shack when we got stuck in traffic. at first we didn't think about it because it's normal, but then we looked around & saw this old man crossing the road with his walker! he was holding up four lanes of traffic! i got a shot of him as he got past our side. it was so funny that that's what was holding us all up--he was soooo SLOW. then on our way back from the store we saw the old man getting ready to go back across the street!! we feel like it had to be a joke, but it wasn't! he was just out "running errands" like the rest of us.

do you know the way to LA?

so lots been going on since i posted last. sorry it's been a while. you all have been so faithful to check & i have haven't been equally as faithful. so where should i start? we move out of matt & mel's this weekend. 6 weeks has come & gone--it's time for us to get out on our own. there's only one problem...we haven't found a place. we have searched huntington beach up & down for many weeks & what we have come to find out is #1 don't have a dog if you want to rent or be willing to live in the smelly places that do allow pets. #2 well there is no number 2, rox was our biggest issue. we are now looking in pasadena too. it'd be just 10 minutes further from justin's work, i would be close to any job i got with 24seven (temp agency for designers) & we'd be in the same town as josh & kar! so needless to say we are frantically searching in pasadena & huntington beach. we want a home.

i have not started a job here, but i have been working on a job for iwu so that's been good. jus is loving work at i-sold it! & also running his own justin-sold it! business on the side. roxy chills out all day while mel & i work & is learning lots of new tricks. mel just taught her to do a flip--she can also double & triple flip. it's really cute.

last but not least jus & i met an "a-list archive" celebrity the other day while in santa monica. we were getting ready to go across the cross walk when i met eyes with...henry "THE FONZ" winkler!! he was looking right at me! i smiled & he smiled back & passed us. i had to get a pic! i couldn't let my first celebrity sighting go without one so here it is.



henry winkler is also on arrested development as the cooky lawyer, and coming out with something else all his own this fall. he also won an emmy this year for best voice in animated cartoon--clifford's puppy days or something.

becoming aquainted with the d-list

a-list = jessica simpson, oprah (queen of the a-list), brad pitt

b-list = any american idol winner

c-list = vanilla ice, omarosa

and finally the d-list who in the last week i have been running into. yesterday while shopping at nordstrom rack mel & i saw norelle from america's next top model (my fav show--5th cycle begins 9/21)! it was crazy! mel recognized her immediately. i walked through the racks to get a glimpse & sure enough there she was! it was so weird to see someone i'd watched on tv for 12 weeks standing 20 feet from me in the store. we didn't talk to her--maybe if she had won we would've, but it just seemed weird to walk up & say, "so what's reality tv like? sorry you lost."

then today while doing some printing i met pro surfer rocky mckinnon. turns out he also shapes & sells boards here in costa mesa. he just signed his first major account with hello kitty this year & he's doing some promo stuff this weekend at the hello kitty board fest.

i told jus that i am moving my way up. c-lister next.
