moving to snapfish & socal

hey everybody! so i have been experimenting with photo storage/share/print places online & i recently read a review in macworld that puts snapfish at the top. so i'm switching. i tried out shutterfly & i wasn't super impressed with their print quality...that's what made me start hunting. so anyway, there is one catch...you have to have a snapfish account to see the pictures. i know that sounds awful, but you have a couple choices. #1 to create an account through me and we'll both receive 20 free prints (you totally don't have to do this--no pressure--just thought i would give the option) or #2 create an account just for viewing albums sign up you'll receive 3 free prints. so far i really like it & i should be getting some prints next week. i'll keep you updated! another great thing about them is their 4x6 prints are only 12 cents each. that's better than any others i have seen.

we're moving out tomorrow! i can't believe we are starting the move to cali! this week we'll be in va, next week the beach & driving out the 10th of august! we are really excited! matt & mel barlow have offered us a place to crash ourselves & our belongings while we get settled (you guys are amazing) & we can't wait to hang!! well it is late. i have to be up early to finish up last minute moving details & then we are off to va! much love.

ladies night in st. petersburg

home sweet home

we're home! we both got back last monday. we've spent this week reconnecting & prepping for our move to cali! socal here we come! jus had an incredible time as you read in his last two blogs & i had a wonderful time sunning on the gulf.

the water is incredible there! it's so warm. while in florida the schedule consisted of waking up at 10a, laying out til we were hungry, eating lunch, laying out til 4p, & going out every night to do something fun & exciting. we dressed up & ate at this delish place called dish in st. petersburg (if you're ever there you have to go), another night we ate pizza & shopped like only tourists can, we went to busch gardens, dressed up & went to the daquari deck & listen to the live band, oh & ate the most yummy mexican i have ever had! we had a marvelous time! the night we were going out for crab the boys called & said they were on their way home! we went home, packed our stuff & hit the road! kari drove from 7:30p to 6:30a!!! she's an animal. i'd wake up every couples hours & ask her if she was ready to switch, but she always said no. finally at 6a i said that i thought she should switch & get some sleep. who knows she might have taken us all the way home! we got home before the guys & gave them a warm welcome when they pulled in the drive!

this coming week is going to be filled with packing. packing, packing, packing. i have done little by little so we just have to move it all to where we're storing it...while to go on vacation to ocean isle!! we're going with jes' family, grandma b, the johnson's & dear friend carrie r. (we're so glad you are coming carrie!). after that week we come back, pick up our belongings & head out to cali! we are making it a 5 day adventure & i am really looking forward to it. i haven't driven out west yet. i am ready to be amazed.

check out all our photos. there are pix of the guys trip & the girls trip under moto.

nearly there!!!

so we have hiked 139 miles to gorham and we only have 16 miles left to finish and entire state! how about that?! we found out that this part of the Appalacian Trail is as hard as it gets. the manual says, "when you get to new hampshire, you've done 80% of the miles, now get ready for 80% of the work". you simply go up the mountain to 5 or 6 thousand feet, then you go down the mountain. oh, and to add to our pleasure the trail is mostly rocks and roots so we have to pick every step carefully so we don't bust up an ankle or leg. but did i tell you we are having fun?! it's been the most incredible adventure i've ever had on a hike. the white mountains are absolutely breath taking, it's hard to hike on when you get to the top of a really good peak.

we've traversed over 19 peaks above 3,000 feet, stayed in half a dozen shelters, met close to 20 thru-hikers, and stayed in 1 hostel and 1 hotel. this is the life as a hiker, it's been sensational! thanks to my gorgeous, willing, loving, incredulous wife, i've gotten to experience something for the first time, life on the trail.

thanks for all your love, support and candy! we have really benefited from your gifts! Lots of love.

on the trail...

well, 3 days on the trail and my legs feel like they're gonna fall off. no worries though, i guess it is all part of getting used to walking up and down, up and down, up and down. having a blast. currently sitting in the coolest hostel you've ever seen. not only do you get a bed to sleep in and a shower, but they have a practical goodwill store AND movie gallery in this hostel. can't wait for you to see the pix.

may not check in for awhile...love you mucho mucho and will see you freakin' soon! and baby, you're the best, thanks for being so giving!

lots of love! Jay
